Hi. I have had my Vanatge for approximately 12 months now and i have just arranged it's first service and MOT since buying it.

Unfortunately it passed its MOT as long as I replace the OS Rear wheel as it is cracked. The car is 2006 and has only covered 9,000 miles and the wheel has no signs of external damage. Is this a common fault, are the wheels known for being week or poorly manufactured?

The dealer ( Grange Exeter) have quoted £600 for a new wheel. I favour a second hand wheel, and wondered other than EBay whether there was a good alternative for second hand wheels. It is the option 19" 7 spoke rear I'm after.

Anyone got a wheel knocking around in the garage they fancy some cash for?[url]

Not a fan of weld repairs on alloys
I'd try the classifieds, ebay & astonmartinbits for a used one
Might be an "opportunity" to refinish them all to a different colour? wink

Might be worth contacting Rimstock.

They probably made your wheels.

Thanks for your comments. Astonbits looks a good option.

Been looking for Aston DB9 Speedlines for my Scirocco for quite a while now.
All the Aston wheels seem prone to cracking. DB9 speedlines more so compared to the V8 Vantage wheels but all nevertheless. But you can get full sets of refurbished V8 Vantage alloys on ebay for around the price quoted for one wheel.
