I have just had my V8 Vantage serviced by a local main dealer and they felt the Air Filters would benefit from a change. Their email stated: -

The air filters on the car look fairly dirty and we would recommend that they are replaced as they are due every 3rd service. They would be £227.66 inc VAT.

I have just asked them for a price for supply only and they have quoted £98.07 inc VAT for the pair.

Are they hard to fit as a DIY job?

If you decide to fit them yourself they are available new on Ebay

PS - I have no connection with the seller

You will need to lift the car as they can only be changed from underneath, no really easy job.

You have to get under the headlamps, not a hard job but time consuming and need a lift.
The question is, how do they know they are dirty unless they are already in there?

As others have said the major cost is the labour to remove the under trays to get to them
