I noticed tonight my off side front headlight was out. The LED sidelight strip and full beam headlight are working fine. I just went to check it again and it came on. I then turned the headlights off and then back on and it didn't come back on.

Has anyone else had a similar issue? I had the rear lights changed to clear ones two weeks ago, just wondering whether that may potentially have something to do with it. I'll prob have to take it back to Aston for them to look at, but any thoughts on what might be causing the fault and how much it might sting me in the wallet!?

Could be either;
1. Corrosion of a connection
2. Loose wire
3. Faulty ballast
4. Faulty lamp.

The lamps have a finite life, not in hours but is startups (Striking the arc). A corroded connection or loose wire would also cause an unreliable arc ignition.
The condensation that is in almost every lamp, I would expect item 1.
If condensation is the cause and it is a corrosion, it is possible that a repair would be difficult.

Oh, and it is possible to permanently control the condensation.
Just no one has of yet shown an interest in such a product.

I won't hijack JP's thread so lets take this offline;
We have a patented tech that we have proved works. Its not our core business but uses the technology we developed in our submersible electronics applications. email me at brent at narkedat90.com and if it has sufficient interest for a commercial product then we will make a run.
