Unexpected stall

Had my windscreen replaced by the dealer today, due to a condensation issue, which went well.
However as I left the office and came to the first set of lights, the car stalled by itself whilst out of gear. Then as I arrived home, about 45 minutes later, I floored the accelerator in second and the car jolted (lost power) then kicked in. It's jolted before when the car's been cold and I just put it down to that, but now I'm thinking it could be something else.
I've read what I have about this issue in past threads, but anyone got an idea what it could be?
