Driving on the motorway last week back from the dealers and washed the screen/lights. What i thought was a stone rolled up the bonnet and out of sight. Not believing the coincidence I looked on the tray beneath the screen and found the nozzle from the drivers side headlamp washer! It is approx 10mm dia plastic component with a brass nozzle for the water jet.

Has anyone had the failure?
Does anyone know if this can be put back or is a new part required?
How can I look to see what has happened. Does the black washer cover plate simply pull forward?

Many thanks for any info you could help with.

Yes the cover just pulls forward, carefully as it's designed to push out with water pressure and is heavily sprung, so don't wreck it... It unclips with a wire spring clip and removes pretty easily. It'll be a lot easier to work on if you remove the headlight. Mine has plastic jets, not brass. So no idea what came out sorry
