Anyone able to share tips on how and where to put axle stands under the car. I have a workshop manual and know where they are, but there doesn't seem much room or any suitable location to position an axle stand under once you have raised the vehicle on a trolley jack using the specified location as mentioned in the manual. I want to put the car up on 4 stands to do some work on brakes and a good clean underneath. Still saving up of the 2/4 post lift!! Thanks.

I had to do this to get my wheels refurbed and faced the same issue.

I ended up using a scissor jack from a jeep grand Cherokee which I could just get under the jacking point at one end leaving enough room for the axle stands.

Hope this helps.

I believe you can jack up off the cross members, but to do this you need to get the undergrads off which is nearly impossible unless you have jacked the car up and put in on axle stands 😁

Thanks for the link to the previous post. Some contradictions in it though! Scissor jack interesting old tech reliable and works. Looks like I will be getting underneath and figuring a mixture of all solutions to come up with a suitable one that should work.
