I'm thinking about a new set of OE rims for my summer wheels (the car is currently on Sportspacks & winter tyres) and can't decide between these two. The car is an Obsidian Black V8V without side sills. Thoughts?

I think the interior colour of the alloy matters more than the style. The bottom one with graphite finish is what I have and it could be darker, although the all alloy finish is a bit featureless (apologies to anyone with them). The top one I believe is a fair bit more to buy but in hindsight would get my vote.

Bottom by a large margin, for me.

Agree. Seen them on a few cars. Look great. Stylishly loaded with statement.

My vote goes to the top one which I believe is the Sportspack V2 wheel, hence superior (lighter) and I think looks particularly good with very dark interior paint as on the SP10.

Top one all day long. I am biased as I have them on mine but I prefer the more clean cut lines

I personally don't like the second set.

Which is one of the reasons that I tracked down a set of the first choice:

If I've done this correctly, my order of preference, colour making a big difference. The second ones I suspect have an aftermarket finish

I also have a set of Sports Pack alloys on my car....

If I had to choose between the two sets you would like, I would be picking the top set everyday of the week.thumbup

If anyone's interested in a genuine set of 19' 7 spoke option alloys, (fully refurbished) I have a set for sale??

Sportpack V2, the later rim is a little fussy for me.

Neither? You dead set only on those?

Yep, I like them both and would gladly have either design bolted to the car. I do like Jon's suggestion of a blackened inner to either rim.

I have the second alloys and the car is going back in January to have the graphite inserts put in. Should look fantastic when it's complete.

Like a child at Christmas (is it still Christmas?) I got impatient at myself at ordered a (used) set of the rims in the second picture. They have the slight graphite colouring of the inner edge so I'll fit them on the car when here and run them around for a while to see whether or not I want to make that detailing any darker.

Quite excited now. biggrin

Thought I'd update this with the final decision. I've been running around on these rimes over winter with Sottozeros and now spring is here it's time to do a bit of tyre/rim swapping. Last week I dropped off the rims to the bodyshop to have the anthracite repainted in metallic black and the silver bits re-polished to get rid of the winter worms. Summer tyres were stuck on yesterday and I have just this afternoon bolted the whole lot back onto the car.
I like it. biggrin

Looks great!

Dare I say it - ditch that number plate plinth and show off the grille.

Looks great. I've currently got the much lighter finish but as and when they need refurbing I'll be doing pretty much the same.

Looks really really good and thanks for the thought provoking thread.
Gave me the push to have the insides of my wheels painted gloss black - like you I'm pleased with the result smile
