Part information and part question.

There was a bit of a debate a while back about insurance and cheaper deals and what you get for your money. I'm with DL and my Aston needs a new screen DLs preferred company is autoglass. I went in to see them and check them out (Shrewsbury branch) and had a good chat. No glass in stock and will they order from Aston Martin, DL policy is effectively unlimited (it has a £9999 limit) and it needs to be done in their unit. I'm happy with all that although it's not done yet!

What was curious was he was surprised there was no Aston Martin mark on the existing screen as every other manufacture seem to do this. I've had the car from new. Anybody know if theirs does as I'll not be overly impressed if a dealer has changed the screen for a patent part on a new car pre delivery? (I can accept the screen might need to be done, just not using a different part)

As far as I know the only windscreen available is the OEM Aston one.
I recently had mine removed and resealed which cured the leak.

Jon,

I have checked mine for you.

The only marking that I can see is PILKINGTON, located bottom centre.
Below the company name is 43R-001586, which presumably is their part number.
