As per title does anybody know how to remove the rear plate light bulbs. I've read the manual and it is no help at all before anybody says RTFM. Just says remove the trim and replace bulb. I'm reluctant to apply force with a screw driver in this area. Visions of slipping and leaving a big scratch.

Thanks in advance

To change the bulb type fitting (rather than the earlier festoon bulb) access is gained by removing the rear interior panel on the boot lid.

Take your time to gently lever the studs but don't use a screw driver as you've already realised.

When I changed mine for LEDs, I think I just popped a few each side and reached in.

get a set of these eBay item number:271317856555, a lot of aston interior trim is secured with "fir tree" fixings , you have to pry them off.

I did the same on my DB9 (06) Volante using a plastic soft pry bar, I pulled out the plastic fixings carefully putting my fingers behind the carpet to prize them out, then once out you carefully slide the carpet down (with the boot open). Be careful as behind it there is lots of electronics going on. The as previously suggested just reach up to the light inserts and twist the bulbs out. Much easier and less damaging than trying to take the lenses out.
