The question about replacing a burned-out license plate bulb reminded me that the black plastic housing at the right of the number plate - the one with the secret button for opening my DB9 Volante's boot - seems to be coming loose (probably from grabbing it to open the boot too often).
Does anyone know how to tighten it up?

Only on North American DB9s Zuman. Might not get much help here.

Remove boot lid trim, held in place with fir tree clips and tighten the Phillips screws. If it's still loose the outside cover has come unglued from the base. If that's the case remove the lamp and re glue the halves. I eliminated mine by going for the cleaner look of the European lights and filling the 8 holes in the lid.

get a set of these , eBay item number:271317856555, a lot of Aston interior fittings are secured with "fir trees" and you have to pry them off.
take your time, youll be fine!!
