Mine was upgraded after the Autowatch one failed and left me stranded. It's been in since September 2014 and been no trouble at all. The "tracker" keys are much smaller too. Don't know the cost as my car has an AM warranty
So far the cobra has been much better than the older system. The tags are more reliable, much much smaller and in one year I have had zero false alarms. I even called cobra to check it was working!!!
