I wasn't sure if we already had a dedicated thread to the DBX so here goes. A few shots from yesterday at Geneva:

I know that many will find this sacrilegious but I think that it looks great. When (not if!) they make it, they will sell them by the bucket load. I can't imagine that it will be fully electric though. Probably a hybrid of some sort. Those size of wheels/tyres (ie the drag) and the size of the thing wouldn't be conducive to decent ranges if it was electric only.

This will be Charlotte's or a hairdresser's car then.

I think it looks half like an Aston Martin and half like an inflated Audi TT

Reserve final judgement til i see it in the flesh

It makes the DB10 look attractive

If it's competitively priced against a top end Cayenne, for example, then it will sell well, I'm sure.

nono I understand that they need to think out of the box, but NO NO NO! If they must go into this sort of market, do it with Lagonda (my apologies to Lagonda). Leave Aston Martin to making sports/GT cars or very sporting saloons like the Rapide (which would have been a great Lagonda). Do that very, very well. They have the perfect opportunity to "expand" into other types of vehicle with Lagonda.

Yes, although the DBX name implies they have badged it as Aston. Does make sense to go with the Lagonda badge for the these as you say.

I don't particularly like it. It looks too much like an existing Aston Martin design with a modified ride height (maybe that's what it is?). So it just looks wrong (a bit like a Porsche Panamera always looks like a 911 that's gone awry)

I'd rather they started with a clean sheet of paper and produced a fresh design - and built something that looked a little more like it was meant to be an SUV not a car gone wrong.

Shocking idea, whoever came up with that. It's like an Aston monster truck...
