Escalating a fault/ issue - factory help?
Discussion
A few of you may know I had some 'computer says no' bovva on my Rapide. Car always runs and drives great though!
Dealer has been really great but I think I may need some more escalated help by now. The main issue hasn't recurred since I got the car back but the car now chimes 5/6 times every time I put the 'key' in now which just isn't right - its trying to tell me something... Is there an elec/IT/geeky guru/dealer anyone would recommend or will the factory step in to resolve troublesome difficult issues like this one? I need to know the car is 100% before we go to Italy later this year.
Cheers

Write a polite letter to the dealer principle asking him to help / get the factory invovlved. If that doesn't work, ring the factory and ask to speak to Customer Services.Dealer has been really great but I think I may need some more escalated help by now. just ring customer services....explain the situation , it will be faster than going through dealer etc...
AM have a roving tech guy who goes round dealers helping to sort complex issues so maybe customers services can send him along to take a look. I believe that he has the authority to sign-off any warranty work so if he identifies what is wrong he can authorise whatever work the dealer needs to do there and then.Simple test.
Unlock car with fob, get in, close door, put seat belt, THEN put key into ignition.
What happens?
Simple Test 2.
As above but when you put key in ignition instantly turn the ignition on.
What happens?
The above tests are to determine if a couple of things are working or not and to narrow down the suspects as to where the chimes are coming from.
