Looking for a lost ball and found this...

Certainly ruinious, but what a lovely way to bankrupt. Plenty of owners on the amoc website. You dont need to be a member to read.
Also, get the vacuum pipes changed..

Didn't find the ball and as far as I know it's not been crashed into any wall and definitely not that one.
Will make some inquiries. I've already ascertained that it's been in that spot for quite a while.
Will let you know how I get on. I suspect it's going to be prohibitive but nothing ventured bothing gained...

One day in the distant future you'll regale people in the pub with the story of how you bought an unloved Virage and brought it back to health.......whilst ruining your bank balance and sanity in the process.
Go for it if you can, that's what I say. After all, what could possibly go wrong

There's an article in the latest Vantage magazine about buying £30K Aston's, there's a nice multi-page report on the DB7 Vantage, the Gaydon era 4.3 V8 Vantage, the first gen DB9 and the original Virage.
Interesting reading. I also think the red suits the car well. Apparently lots of parts were sourced elsewhere (Headlights from Audi, rear lights from a VW Scirocco, air con from an XJ40 Jag and so on) so cheaper to replace. Most came with a 3 speed slush box and a few were equipped with a manual gearbox but they're a rare find. Is this one auto or manual? Value is £25K - £40K depending on condition.

Inquiries are in progress.
It's in better shape than I first thought...and it's manual, which I like the idea of.
Thanks for the tips and interesting reading materials. Need to investigate this a lot further before I decide whether jump in or not as it's not going to be a straightforward or short term commitment to ownership. Will keep all posted on how things go. Firstly to see if current owner will even consider selling it...
Regarding the colour - the side on pic doesn't do it justice.

OP, I suggest you post on the AMOC forum - the very helpful owner of that concours-winning green Virage frequents there more than here.Interesting reading. I also think the red suits the car well. I like these, quite retro and cool. What's up with the bonnet on that one though? Has it been crashed or is it just left open?
Bonnet is just open apparently. Not damaged. Will look over at AMOC as well as mentioned. Seems to be a lot of info, knowledge and experience over there.
