Was told around £400.00 for a 2009 V8V at main dealers.
Thanks... Sorry...I should have said, AMW quoted £350 all in. Looking at battery prices, around £200 for the battery so I suppose it is two hours labour?
Dont pay main dealer.Easy to do yourself. At present GSF have a 35% discount code SPRING35.Use this to buy a bosch or similar quaility battery. Should be around £75.00. Then fit it yourself.Code runs out today!!!!!!!!!!
It's the hardest thing I have ever done with any aspect of motor DIY. My problem was that the battery was stone dead so I couldn't mover the drivers seat forward from its 'As far back as possible' position.
I will never try this again...dealer every time....
Thanks everyone...I really don't have patience to do it myself....also, I don't want to take a risk the electric glitches that might follow once the battery is disconnected
