Hi all,

For some unknown reason, when I connect my iPhone 4S via the cable inside the central storage bin and try and play music, you can only barely hear music being played by turning the volume to the a absolute max. I have only started to experience issues and the premium audio is fine playing CDs and radio.

Have tried connecting the iphone, switching it on/off whilst still physically connected, but to no avail.

Any ideas welcomes. Is this an Apple issue and sorted by upgrading to iOS 8 ?

Difficult to say, it could be the port on your phone (Do you have another iPhone dock to try it in?) or the cable in the car. I know when I went to iOS 7 my charge unit with a lightning converter stopped working in the car.

Hi JonV12V

It's stating the obvious somewhat but is the volume on the handset itself turned up to maximum? If the audio feed in is at the lowest setting that may be the issue.

Best Regards

Thanks for the hints and tips.

Will try another iPhone.

Could be the cable or jack port.

Have played around with volume settings in the iphone, but to no avail. It could be that the digital signal is being corrupted.

Anyways, will keep trying and will call HWM if no luck and see if they know what the issue could be.
