Cutting out on low revs and idle Db7
Discussion
Hi Ian,
I'm not familiar with your car, but it sounds like it could be a problem with the idle air control valve(s).
These allow air to bypass the throttle butterflys when they are closed - they keep the idle steady and also help to slow the rate of shutdown of the throttle to make gear changes smoother.
It cold be a bad connection one of the IACVs - they should be located near the throttle butterflys, but may be slightly remote, with a tube going to the engine-side of the throttle.
Try removing/replacing the IACV connector plugs, in case there is a dodgy connection.
Cheers - Simon
