Good evening all.

So i am on the look out for my first Aston, i have been to look at a black 2006 today that was a little un loved.

I love the look of this Vantage in Midnight Blue at Hurlingham Motor Company.

Does anyone have any feedback on these guys, i'm planning to make the 250 mile trip on Monday if i can escape work for a few hours.

Also looking at another low mileage car, 18K would a high number of owners be something to worry about? Last owner having had it for a year.

Many thanks smile

Just down the road from me, but don't know them, sorry.

The car is a gorgeous colour from the outside ... but Kestral Tan can be a bit Marmite. My car had Kestral Tan seats before they were replaced with bespoke Obsidian Black ones - the Indy said it was impossible to shift, so replaced the seats. Everything is a personal choice though, is there one nearer you with Kestral Tan that you can have a look at before travelling 250 miles?

New clutch is good though and the price seems pretty good...!

As for a high number of owners, didn't bother me at all. I'm no 6 for my car. Some people don't keep them very long or drive them too much (mine's a daily drive).

Ps Hope you've bought the book! Highly recommended.

I actually quite like that interior, reminds me of those Caramac bars which were nice! As previous said owner amount is fine and new clutch is a bonus.

Thank you for the input so far. I am off to look at the low mileage - high owner one this afternoon and also another all been well.

I quite like the tan interior although haven't sat in one yet and the price almost seems a little to good which makes me nervous.

Grants book is in the post smile

Welcome.

My top tip: - Unless the first car you see is perfect, exactly the spec. that you want, and the circumstances give you a feeling of confidence, then try to be patient.

Understandably not easy to be patient with such wonderful cars as Aston Martins, but there are many well kept and often lightly used Vantages. The right car for you should appear before too long.

I was so lucky when looking for a particularly rare specification, but one did come up after about a year. So glad now that I waited.

Enjoy.

Thank you all for the advice so far.

I looked at two yesterday, the low mileage one that i am undecided on and a stunning Toro Red one which was at AM Derby. Sadly the Toro Red one had just had a deposit left on it so it has a new happy owner anyway.

I am going to have a ride down and look at the one in London tomorrow smile

Hi Andy,

Looking at your location it wouldn't be a bad call to speak with John McGurk, his website shows a nice looking Meteorite 38k miler……..yes, all be it a little more expensive
than your current target he may well have something up his sleeve that may fit the bill.

But then again he might be having a sale…….biggrin

As most would tell you on here John's a good guy that doesn't sell poor quality examples so before you run up your mileage give him a shout…………thumbup as you might be
pleasantly surprised.

Handy for me to know that too.

I've only looked at a couple of cars locally so far, and been pretty disappointed at the quality. I have seen their adverts and good to know they sell decent cars.

Well i went and viewed the Midlnight Blue one in London and have left a deposit on it, collect next week and i can't wait smile

Service history was spot on, clutch, brakes, tyres have all been done in the last 3000 miles at Aston in London. Huge folder of invoices for work that has been done over the years as well.

Looks to be well cared for so i am very happy indeed.
