They normally go through a cycle and I don't think it is unusual to see a 'half full' light... but you should also be getting a full light for a good bit of the time. Certainly when I go in the garage it's not always showing the full green. I am sure other chargers show different lights so can't be precise.

Mine did that a couple of times after power cuts during the winter. Switch it off and then put it back on and it should reset it. The power loss seemed to upset it. Worked with mine.

Assuming all well with the conditioner it should only be half lit for maybe 48 hours max - if battery itself has power then could well be conditioner on its way out - Ctek Mxs 5 from Amazon makes a good choice.

Try locking the car, as that will switch off the majority of functions that drain power.

Chargers like these operate according to the state of charge of the battery, which is determined by it's voltage. In other words, the charger measures the battery voltage and adjusts its output accordingly. If you're not experiencing any starting or other apparently 'low battery' problems then there's no need to do anything - the charger is simply maintaining the battery without needing to go to full output.
If you ARE having problems then the charger may well be suspect, but I'd check the battery too. Measure the voltage when it's off charge, it should be around 12.5V if it's healthy - leave it off charge and check it again a couple of days later (assuming you haven't started the car in the meantime) - the voltage should be pretty much the same. If it isn't then it's new battery time.

Mine now does that. Used to switch light to full after a while.

Mine is still working OK because when I first reconnect it, the unit warms up a bit but next day light still on half but unit is cold indicating it's not charging anymore.

Also left it connected like that for 3 months over the winter and the car started first time after the usual wait for the oil pressure light to go out.
