I recently bought a 2007 V8 Vantage Roadster which was advertised as a "Launch Edition". Does anyone have any idea what differentiates a Launch Edition at all? Any particular features/options? I can find nothing online.

As far as I am aware there was not a "Launch Edition" as such

The Roadster was unveiled at the LA Auto show in Nov 2006, deliveries started in Spring 2007 (2007 MY)
The Roadster also had some minor upgrades to the braking system (which the coupe got in 2009), improved fuel economy (apparently) and reduced C02.
One of the main features introduced with the Roadster was the Sportshift gearbox (automated Graziano 6 speed manual box from the coupe) and many early Roadsters were spec'd with this option.

A special edition N400 Roadster (240 built to celebrate AM achievements at the Nurburgring) was launched in September 2007.
N400 cars were available in 3 colours (Black, Silver and Orange) had clear rear lights, N400 wider sills, fitted with Sportback wheels / suspension and were badged N400.

If you post some photos of your Roadster (forum rules) then that would also help.

Perhaps it means it was an ex-show or press car?

That would be my guess as well. We had our names down for the roadster when it first came out and you just specced it like any other Aston model. Do not recall there being a launch model available.
