Hey Guys

Pick up my 2008 V8 Vantage Roadster next week. Looking through the F&Q's I notice a list of items that should come with the car. Is this every car? Should I expect it all to be present even though the car is 8yrs old? In other words can I demand they are replaced if absent? One thing I know is missing is the umbrella frown

Here is the list:

key fobs x 2 also aluminium case spare key fob comes in
owner's manual
radio manual
mobile phone manual (if mobile phone fitted)
umbrella
First aid kit
Owners Manual inc Service Schedule
Quick Reference Guide
Spare Bulb Kit
Carpet mat for the boot
Towing Eye
Tyre inflator kit x 2 (Hoults)
Fire Extinguisher
Notepad
Maglite Glovebox Torch
Lamy Pen
Leatherman Sideclip multitool
Tyre pressure gauge
Car cover (was an extra)
Battery Conditioner
Radio code card usually with the owners manual
SatNav CD
CD Autochanger Magazine

I don't think that list is for a vantage as things like umbrella and torch are optional extras

Plus the "mechanical key?" What ever that is?

If it has the newer gen 2 dash, they all come with 2 "Emotional Control Units", 1 glass 1 plastic. No case. Also 1 metal ordinary physical door key. If its gen 1, 2 physical keys only.
umbrella - option
First aid kit - option
Spare Bulb Kit
Carpet mat for the boot - option
Towing Eye
Tyre inflator kit x 2 (Hoults) - only 1, check expiry date
Fire Extinguisher - option
Lamy Pen
Battery Conditioner - option
SatNav CD - only for Gen 1 DVD based systems. Gen 2 HDD systems don't have a disc in them, unless an updated disc has been acquired, in which case it must have the updated DVD in the player to work. In any event consider latest Volvo disc.

Also:
Locking wheel nut key (in same stowage place as towing eye and bulb kit).
2 Tracker fobs if of the older Gen 1 big Eurowatch fobs
No paint bubbles on mirror arms, door handle area, bonnet edges, wiper support disc, door catch on frame.
Airbag expiry dates / replacemnt (think its 10 years so no issue).

Only found out because my V8 didnt come with one. The mechanical key is just a key which you would need to get in the car if either car or fob battery go flat.
Stratstone ordered one from the factory which didnt work so they had to put a lock set on it.

Mech key is only for ECU glass key cars isn't it?
