Driving Skunk Hollow
Discussion
So I hate you all. Traveling with the wife and kids in the RV. Left the DB9 at home. Won't be home until early July.
Right now we're in Markesan Wisconsin and I'm dying. For about 6 months before I purchased mine I would visualize being behind the wheel or seeing it pass by. Now that I'm an owner I see these twisting roads with the gentle rolling hills completely different from before I was an owner. Oh my God I want my car to experience them.
I'm realizing that as you head west in the US the roads/towns become more squared off. Straight line to an intersection. Back home from my town it's about 25 miles to any nearest town but the roads are straight as an arrow with a few 90" intersections. Sure going to the coast or up to the mountains there are plenty of nice roads, but here I could just see myself cruising around to wherever the road takes me. The little frontage roads that follow the edge of the lakes around. Going through Skunk Hollow(about a mile long through woods with two really nice dips). Aaaargh! I already told my wife that the next time we'll be trailering the Aston behind the RV.
I'm so jealous of those of you that get to experience these roads even if it's just for the 'season'.
