Satnav disc - slight issue

Hi all - I've made a school boy error, having had a bit of an issue with the Sat Nav I ejected the disc and reinserted it. Those of you with Vantage roadsters will know the CD drive is in a slightly weird place (in between the front seats under the roof mechanism).

Unfortunately I closed the roof before the disc was fully loaded....... I don't think sellotape (there are other tapes available) will do the trick. Can anyone help out?

I've got a set of new unused 4 Volvo RTI DVDs (not the HDD versions) for 2012 (part number 31357737) if that helps...

Thanks for the reply Philip, have you any idea how the four discs differ to the one I have?

It has 4 discs covering all of Europe (Disc B is for the UK). States the discs are for S80 MY07-11, V70 MY08-11, XC60 MY09-10, XC70 MY08-11. It's a 2012 update. I haven't used it, as it's new in the box....

I suggest you check that they are the right ones for your car, as it seems there are many versions and not all work (I couldn't find out, that's why I haven't used them) - if you definitely want them, email me. Otherwise I'll put them on Ebay.

Excellent offer. Sadly Volvo 31357737 discs will not work as they are for MMM2 Volvo sat navs which no AM uses:

The current version for MMM DVD based systems is Volvo part no. 31428072. There are older versions around probably from eBay or similar, the last prior version is part no 31357734. Before that Volvo don't show.

You definitely need Volvo 2104 RTI update 31428072. You get 3 DVDs covering Europe (England is in Disc A). Some sellers also sell you an additional software upgrade disc with the DVDs but the upgrade doesn't work in Astons (at least not in mine). They are c £130 for a set, but if you search Google and look around the interweb, Ebay etc., some people sell copies for much less, often individually (so you can just buy Disc A, for example), and some sites do downloads, but I haven't tried that. From what I can see, the main benefit is you get full 6 digit postcodes as well as newer maps. The DVD stays in the car, so you can't borrow one to replace yours.
