I had the emission service light come on every couple of months (2008 V8 Vantage Roadster) and I used a £10 OBD II reader to reset the dash light, it eventually started to appear every couple of days and the fix was to replace the two "Upstream" oxygen sensors and that has fixed it. The sensors are circa £105 each and I got my local garage to fit them.
The fault codes the OBD reader threw up are P0133 (O2 sensor 1 bank 1) and P0153 (O2 sensor 1 bank 2)

You can get the OBD II reader here

O2 sensors here or your local AM dealer

If you are local to Glasgow then you can borrow my OBD reader.

The gurgling from the front nearside could be the coolant system as the coolant reservoir is located in that region.
