How do you tell the difference?

Wheels
Front grille
Rear badge

Anything else?

The wheels may be the same or different (the V12V wheels are a foc option on V12VS).

Yes the front grille has CC100 style inserts but it can be colour coded so less obvious to the eye.

There are lots of CF options and external decals for lipstick, boot and roof and whilst many cars have these they are optional so just as many don't. Plus they can be retro fit to a V12V so there are little to rely on.

Best way is to look for the "S" on the back, or the year of registration or simply peer inside to see if it has a gearstick or paddles! smile

Ok I thought someone was going to tell me that I am being stupid and there is a really obvious way to tell.

I really like the front grille on the S.

Also prefer the wheels.

Here we go again…..

Some come with a stupid badge on the side of the wings too, next to the side repeater.

I love the grill on the s.

Hey , i have those V12 badges on my front wings and they look superb!
That big thing shinny lever between the seats makes the V12V far more special than that red S badge on the rear.

V12S prices now in free fall, one has become available for less than £100,000. As we manual boys know a big knob is far better than two flaps!

I don't get it ? It doesn't make the car more aesthetically pleasing to the eye and the badges are nothing special in their own right, so other than making sure that passers by less familiar with the range are absolutely sure you have a V12, what reason for going out of your way to put the badge on a pre-S V12V ?

Have to agree, after all it still says V12 on the back anyway.

I had to have a new front grille on my V12 Vantage last year due to one of the upright sections being broken. At the time I thought about a retro fit with the V12VS
style so asked my local Aston Service Dealer to give me a quote and get back to me. When they did eventually call, the Engineer said this was the first time anyone had requested this and so far their estimated cost was £2500!! eek

I'm sure at the time I'd seen the V12VS style grille for sale somewhere on the internet for around £660

My car is a Carbon Black Edition and I think the new style grille would finish the front off far better. Maybe I will treat myself at Christmas smile

I know someone on here has fitted one to a V8V. The surround is carbon fibre so not cheap. I seem to recall it being closer to GBP5K.......

The V12S grilles are circa £1,650 + VAT and upwards, see below

Another difference from the V12 S to the V12 is the black painted bootlid between the rear lights (an option on the V12S)

There was a time when Bits had very good prices, but it seems that those days are long gone now.

I do as well. Plus i much prefer the chrome trim around the windows and the exhaust tips. The S seems to have these in black. Also the door pulls on mine they are carbon , on all the S,s i have seen they are piano black.
