I wish to temporarily remove the Aston Martin badge and Vantage badge from the boot lid on my V8 Roadster.
Heating both with a hairdryer / heat gun and using fishing line to remove.

Anyone got any other tips or experience?

That should work with the vantage badge, but I've never tried that with the aston badge. You will also need lots of tar and glue remover.

I have removed both no problem. heat and fishing line are fine, go slow on the Aston badge as with the recess and the edges of the wings, I broke the line a couple of times before getting the tension and movement right.

Once off, you can clean up with 3M adhesive remover, and plastic razor blades. Not sure if your in the UK or US, or else where, but here is a link to Amazon to give you an idea:

I took mine off to buff the car out a while ago, and then used 3M double sided molding tape to reinstall them:

Good luck.
