Blimey. Took the plunge. New V8V purchased last week for September delivery. Tungsten silver, manual. Have lusted in a near sexual way over AM's for decades, and it feels surreal that I am shortly to be an owner.
Thanks to the forum for invaluable advice without it even realising. Taken a week to be allowed to post though??
What I've learnt to date:
If you own a V8 don't drive a V12. Disappointment awaits.
Buy Grants book - done
Contact Paddy for detailing - done
Remove fuse 22
Love your car - always.
Just can't wait. Only downer is away on business to the 12th. Won't be able to sleep. Just like Christmas as a kid.

Congratulations.
We can all remember the first time excitement, waiting for collection day.
For me, four years later, there is still excitment every time I drive my V8V.
An Aston Martin is certainly more than just a car. You will enjoy.
Judging by the timescale, I think you might have found a dealer stock car, that matches your own requirements.
PS. I have just noticed.
You are clearly so excited, that you have two topics running.
