Hi All,

I have a 2004-5 DB9 coupe and need to get some refurbishment done to the seats' leather, specifically a couple of fag burns and some wear splits and holes.

As I use the car almost every day I don't want to have it off the road for several weeks, I propose to remove and send off most of the covers in one go but to keep the passenger seat back and temporarily fit it in the driver's side. When the rest come back I will take out the remaining seat, de-cover it and send that off.

The question I have is, can I fit the passenger seat into the driver's side position and not have any problems, apart from the fact that the seat airbag will be on the wrong side. They look to me like they should be interchangeable and I would even expect the seat controls would work properly as the buttons are identical. Any input or suggestions?

Btw I went to Corbeau in Hastings (on recommendations from my stepson's car-molding mates) to look at the idea of buying a temporary seat. Once I'd explained my intentions and the fact that I really needed to keep the cost as low as humanly possible (I'm married!) they came up with the suggestion of temporarily swapping the front seats over whilst the repair jobs were done as this would certainly help minimise the cost. I should also like to add that I'm disabled and without any requests on my part they got my wheelchair out of the boot for me, they helped assemble it, wheeled me inside and got me a cuppa! All in all, they looked at the job from my point of view, didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and could not have been more accommodating, helpful or friendly. To put it simply, I was blown away by their quality of service, regardless of the profit motive, and want to give them a big shout out. And their products seem damned good too! Even though I didn't buy any!

Thanks in advance, Mark
