Across the Vantage range, the 700W (now 600W, anyone know why?) Audio has increased by £500 to £1495. Apparently, the number of Fast Track exterior colours have been reduced to 2 colours only; tungsten and china grey are now Contemporary. Not sure what has happened to Fast Track interior colours.

V12VS R price has increased by £1000. Cheekily, if you choose a contrast colour for the leather door slash and the middle seat stripe, that now costs £495.

N430 R has increased £5000, but now Sat Nav, BT and cruise is standard (accounts for £2550). However, the forged 10 spoke alloys are now a cost option of at least £2000. In addition, if you want the light themed interior, that’s another £1000. Unclear whether you can have other leather colours (as the charge is for Contemporary Leather). No paint options available apart from original 5.

For me, N430 R to my spec has increased by about £6000 (£2500 extra plus £2000 for wheels plus £1000 for light interior plus additional £500 for 600W audio).

Slightly amazed that AM has increased prices by that much on N430.

Should have ordered N430 R before 2016 MY!

This could be my fault smile

When I was at the factory ordering mine I told them I thought the term 'Fast Track' was naff and hardly something that indicated something bespoke and they should change it.

So, note there is no longer any 'Fast Track' paint or interior colour options, they are called 'Primary'

No more Iron Ore Red!

I wonder if some of the cost now accounts for the new waterfall dash and the costs of development / core product perhaps? They probably have to pay additional fees for licensing tech for Bluetooth Streaming and Garmin Nav too (royalties are a large part of my work). I think making a direct comparison probably wouldn't work if you look at the tech behind the products, especially as Aston don't own the IPR on lots of these things - they're licensed.

Chris.

We all look for Premium Audio on the pre-owned listings, so that is probably a 'must have' at any price option tick, on the order form.

Hopefully these price increases reflect good demand for September deliveries.

Aston Martin new UK registrations for August, were just fourteen.
I don't think that is even one per dealer.

the only tech that has changed is the AMii system, which is software plus haptic controls .. eveything else is as before and those costs don't change

This is the way they've been operating for a very long time. It's a real shame, but they have always been on the back foot and have never had good control over supply/demand/pricing.

A new Vantage must be a couple of years away. If it isn't anything other than class leading they are dead in the water. And that has never been a strong suit (though the hook up with AMG might help).

I've thought this for a while, but I strongly suspect their best avenue would be to focus on exclusivity. Take the range way up the price range and get a serious grip on volume expectations, supply etc.

I'm not really sure why anyone would buy a brand new V8 Vantage now...

I quoted the August 2015 new car registrations, but to be fair, both the August and February figures are always low for Aston Martin.

In August I think there might be a factory holiday, and possibly dealers are delaying sales to September, if it happens to be an incentive month. I cannot believe that Aston Martin owners are so shallow, that they wait to have the latest dated registration mark on their car, and for only six months. Could the latter contribute?

Would make a great colour combo!

Interesting when I mentioned about the 'Fast Track' thing (several times) they said they agreed and/or had not really thought about it but agreed and it does now lend itself to the exclsusive thing more. Good to think I may have had a hand in this (but I am sure I was not alone in mentioning it).
