Evening all. I wasn't aware until Brands on Sunday that the wing mirrors on my 07 Vantage were meant to fold in when the doors are locked. I can do it from the inside prior to shutting the doors. But I also have to hold down both mirror adjusting buttons to swing them out again. Any ideas how to sort this please?
Next Niggle is the boot not popping when I press the button on the key fob. Also.... How far up is the boot supposed to go when pressing the small chrome button. I barely have enough room to get my fingers in to lift it. Or are they all like that?
There you go.A few for the techy ones out there to chew on.
Thanks in advance Dave.

Greetings!

The mirror folding is something that can be set (to my recollection) by a dealer or indy with the correct kit to operate on locking / unlocking of the car. The "boot open" button is a misnomer - it's a boot "release", so it pops it 1/4 inch - you still need to completely elevate it manually.

Hope this helps!

Ref the boot release using fob, you have to keep it pressed slightly longer than the door unlock.....well you do on mine.

Oh, re the wing mirrors, i did not know that. I just thought people where just showing off that they had folding mirrors not that they should fold in automatically. Only ever used mine when I reverse out of the garage a get to close to the door frame and fold them in to get passed the frame. I wonder what else the car does that I do not know?

On my car (MY15) you have to press the boot release button twice, about 0.5-1 sec pause in between, to pop the boot. The mirrors are user programmable on the car settings menu I believe. Other MY's will of course be different.

As Kris says - that's correct for an 07 model. Later models may have changed. annoying that a dealer has to set it.

Thanks for that Kris. I feel a lot better now knowing that my boot opening 'gap' is OK.

Must admit it is annoying that the tailgate doesn't open any further than a few millimetres. Anyone done any experimenting with super high powered gas struts?

I'm jealous. My boot release button unlocks the boot (leaves the rest of the car locked) but I still have to use the button on the boot to open it. 06 car.
