Aux Input for 2005 DB9
Discussion
Hello,
I just bought a 2005 Aston Martin DB9 and it will be arriving this week. One thing that concerns me is the lack of auxiliary input as I get most of my music/audio from my iphone via spotify or siriusXM. I have an FM transmitter that is a pain in the butt. I have read about people installing a Dension Gateway 500 to accomplish adding iphone integration, but I wasn't sure if anyone has had success with anything else. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Ethan

Hello Ethan and welcome to the forum. There is rules etc. Pics of car required...
In answer to your question. The audio system is based around the MOST bus of fibre optics, so you're right that there is no auxiliary input. The nicest solution is from the Gateway 500, providing it's fitted correctly then it works really well. There are now a number of Bluetooth dongles available that will now allow A2DP streaming when plugged into the 30 pin Ipod connector on the Dension. I bought one recently for a BOSE dock at home for £25 and it works extremely well (Happy Wife!)
I believe there are some other MOST break in units on the market, but I can't give testament to the quality and reliability.
Enjoy the car and remember to remove fuse 22!!
All the best,
James
