Driving in the rain, out randomly get this emission error and urgent service required. So I pulled over, switched it off. Had a think, switched it on and it was perfectly fine with no lights. Started driving, still fine, drove harder, still fine....

Plugged in OBd2 and no codes anywhere confused

I had a similar 'emissions service' light recently. It did have a code (cunningly not listed in my OBD reader manual) but I reset it as many here advised (TADTS...) and she's been absolutely fine doing 500 miles this week.

Well it's been fine all day other than the puncture on my brand new Michelins frown

Did you get the PSS? Staggering tyre. Drove 160 miles briskly on twisty A and B roads yesterday - virtually like driving in the dry! Hope they can fix them - gen up on the regs re fixes before you hit any Kwik Fit!

Yup, don't rate the Bridgestones at all tbh. Much much nicer ride on the PSS.

Just recalled. The only thing different I did over the last 2 years was I filled up with V power on Monday. I've been using just normal unleaded for the last 20k...

Yip, this change of fuel has been known to trigger the "Emission Service" light.

If the light was being tripped by the two upstream O2 sensors being on their way out it gives an error code listed below
P0133 - O2 sensor (bank 1 sensor 1)
P0153 - O2 sensor (bank 2 sensor 1)

Yes, V-Power is a known formulation to give problems with many high performance cars, Scoobys, VW's and particularly BMW "M" cars.

I use BP Ultimate with no such issues.
