The obligatory photo thread...
Discussion
Hi All,
As some of you may have gathered, following my questions and advice on here I sold my Maserati and purchased a AM Vantage V8. I had planned to wait a little longer between the sale of my Maserati and purchase of the Vantage, but I saw the colour combination, all of the spec and the mileage I wanted at the right price so snapped it up with it only having been advertised for an hour or so!
I originally wanted a black car, but after realising the effort involved keeping it looking good (especially as I live in London, so it is parked outside) I was less keen. I then saw a Meteorite Silver car on Park Lane and both my wife and I loved it. The interior I originally thought might be a little dull, especially going from a creamy Italian interior. But I must say i think it is fabulous.
One thing I love is that you are sat lower in the Vantage and the side windows are higher and smaller. It all gives you the effect of feeling cocooned and part of the car. It also feels extremely planted, more so than the Maserati, on the road. That may be due to the full geo set up that was done before purchase, that I never had done on the Maserati. The exhaust sounds brilliant in its stock guise, and I am stuck if I want to make it louder or not.
It seems it is customary to post a few photos, so here she is. These photos were taken before she was detailed prior to sale

Someone will be suggesting side exhausts with flames next!
I thought the standard exhaust is quite loud enough, with the valves open. I have been told that my car can be heard from home, when the car is accelerating more than half a mile away.
Standard is quite a good setup, because steady cruising can be pleasantly quiet, then full throttle produces a wonderful thunderous roar.
Guys thanks very much
So please tell me more about the sports exhaust. I would mostly be interested in it for aural pleasure and not much else. But i don't want it to be too loud.
I know Bamford Rose do one, but that really seems performance focused.
I've seen Quiksilver do one, seems a little pricey.
Has anyone had one custom made at an exhaust specialist?
