This was interesting on Jay Leno's Garage.

Jay and the designer of the DB10 give hints to the future.

That was very good. Thanks for posting.

I was hoping Jay Leno would shut up and let Marek talk. There's some useful info in what he's trying to say.

Thank you for posting that link.
I do like some of Jay Leno's garage films.
His motoring passion is wonderful, and he also has a good joke - it is about his one wife, and his one hundred and fifty cars.

Aston don't want to open the bonnet of these DB10 cars.
Perhaps it is a secret pointer to future models.

However, we have already seen (and it also revealed briefly during this very film, that the bonnet and wings are one piece, forward hinged (remember Triumph Herald).

Yeah he cuts people off a lot; I don't think he's being rude just a little over enthusiastic smile

Yes, thanks for posting the vid. "see honey its an investment, ..we're not 'just buying cars' " biggrin

So its based on a vantage chassis with a vantage engine and gearbox, so why are they calling it a DB?

My answer is one word - Marketing.

We sometimes criticize AML, but I think you may agree with me, that their publicity is excellent, and cleverly, often at minimal cost.

An example being the recent announcement of the Rapide electric, which immediately had front cover and journalistic two page coverage in the Autocar magazine, which presumably is without paying for any advertising.

Did fellow 4.7 owners notice Q's statement of the performance figures for the DB10?
A 420bhp V8, but with V12S figures!

Please don't tell me James Bond is all pretend. - smile

faster than V12S - 3.2s IIRC !

it is presumably called 'DB' because of DB5 & Bond - I would have thought the name was a joint effort between AML & EON. The fact it is on a vantage chassis is irrelevant - the underpinnings aren't referred to in the film because the whole car is a fantasy. I don't mean that in a negative way, just a realistic way
