Burghley House Hotels?

Making a new thread rather than muddying the sign up thread..

I've just signed up for the Burghley House meet up but it's a fair drive from here so we were thinking of heading down the day before and stopping over - anyone else planning this, or can anyone recommend a decent hotel and somewhere decent to fill our faces?

Orton Hall hotel in Peterborough. Very close.

Normanton Hall Hotel was on the lake, parking was good as was breakfast (well anywhere that bothers cooking the bacon both sides gets my thumbs up)!

We have had a Double Room in the George Hotel of Stamford come available for our Aston Martin Event.

It is available for the weekend but be aware the minimum stay is 2 nights.

Friday the 1st of July at a Bed and Breakfast rate of £195.00.

Saturday the 2nd of July at a Bed and Breakfast rate of £230.00.

Sunday the 3rd of July at a Bed and Breakfast rate of £195.00.

Its available on a first come, first served basis by ringing Rosie at the George Hotel on 01780 750730 and stating its for the Aston Martin Event.

Let me know who gets it please as we also have 2 seats now available for our group dinner on the Saturday night which is our own private function.
