Waving

I've been an Astonista for just a few months and I've had varying degrees of recognition from fellow drivers. What do you do?

I used to wave in my V8 but now I'm going too fast in my V12.

I always like to wave in recognition of such good taste, but sometimes particularly oncoming, there is just not enough time.

Your Poll made me laugh. I have tried a wave in the past but with no success, from now on I shall ignore all Astons except V12 for whom I will offer a full salute.

Where I live, I have never seen another Aston Martin on the road. A guy who lives nearby has a DB5, but I've never seen it on the road.

I wave to every Aston and get a response maybe 50% of the time.
There are two other black V8Vs that I see regularly in the area - one of them loves a good wave and one stalwartly refuses to acknowledge me. I never know which one it is, so just keep waving at the grumpy bd anyway.

I parked behind a grey V8V not long ago and the guy got out to put something in the boot and simply refused to acknowledge the presence of my car. He was probably scared I'd start talking to him or something.

Waved at someone today in what I think was a black Virage. Got a flash of lights and a wave in return. First Aston I have seen around here in ages.

I live in the North East of England and there are more unicorns running around than Astons.

I therefore conclude that the USA is directly comparable to North East England

I often give a quick flash (ooo errr missus!) of the full beams to all Aston's irrespective

On the odd occasion I do see another Aston on the road and I also happen to be in my own DB9 at the time, I will instigate a flash of the lights and a wave. However this behaviour only started when a DBS driver performed said flash and wave to me. Therefore I consider this to be the required etiquette on the roads when passing fellow Aston owners.

I used to give a quick wave to other Aston owners when I had my Vanquish. I very rarely got a wave back.... I think Surrey Aston owners are too snooty to imagine someone else might actually have an Aston.

In my Morgan it's a 100% reciprocal wave.

Well there are 2 of us AM owners in my North East village (Virage and a V8v). We will happily wave at you if you're ever in Co Durham.
