Ok, it appears that I am either a) blind b) stupid or c) both because I can't find the OBD socket on my 2007 RHD V8 Vantage - I understand that there are two sockets, one for the body and one for everything else, but I can't see either socket in the passenger or driver footwells. I've seen a few photos online but as with any photos taken at a weird angle, it's hard to tell what it's actually looking at, and most of them seem to be LHD models.

I've been tinkering with cars for donkey's years via the ODB port, so I know what I'm looking for, just can't find it - could someone give me an idiots guide on where I should be looking? Are they hidden behind a flap or something?

Viewed from driver seat, body socket is nearest centre, engine socket furthest away. Roughly in between clutch pedal and centre console, underside of drivers foot well

Sorted, thanks, it was hiding behind some plastic - obviously didn't get my head far enough under the dash smile

Does anyone know what the "Body" one is for by the way? Never seen a car with two sockets before.

Lots of different stuff. The OBD II manual is available in pdf online somewhere (or linked on here in the past) Things like roof, centre console, infotainment, door modules have error reporting from the body socket

And two important items: ABS and SRS. So if you accidentally trigger an SRS fault, you can only reset it via the body port.

What OBD reader are people using? I need to purchase one to be able to clear the intermittent emission warning service light. Ideally would like bluetooth for iPhone. Any good reccommendations?

I use this one on the Aston, along with an app on phone/tablet:

I already have "proper" cables for BMW and Audi, just wanted something cheap and cheerful for checking/resetting codes.
