Wanted AML registration number
Discussion
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, or a little on the cheeky side.... And of course moderators feel free to delete....
I haven't been a member for all that long. And to be honest I lurk about rather than posting, mainly as my projects are nowhere near as interesting as the stuff from others on here.
I've been looking for some time for an AML registration number, (3x1, 1x3, 3x2 etc) as my initials are AML (luckily or otherwise).... As I've had no luck searching during the past year, From the regular dealer type sources, I thought I'd try a cheeky request on pistonheads, just in case someone has a number on a car that they are prepared to sell me....
If anyone is interested. Please drop me a PM.

There are plenty on here: http://dvlaregistrations.direct.gov.uk/search/resu...
Or am I missing something?
Or am I missing something?
I already have a small selection of plates, probably the cream is a single digit L and 2 numbers, and a couple of AL plates, plus I've already got a prefix AML plate, I understand costs are subjective. Not wishing to burst the bank on this, but looking in 5 digit purchase region.
Don't get me wrong, I doubt I would sell any of my plates on the open market, unless someone came and made me a decent offer for them TBH.
A couple of people have kindly emailed me, and although not quite in the right teratory, I thank you for showing interest....

Still looking? I have one I am looking to sell
Are you by any chance the owner of this one ?
The last time I looked, it was on an Audi.

The gentleman on the left is Mr Lionel Martin, one of the two founders of Aston Martin.
The car is the second prototype built. Photographed at Brooklands, it was the very first named Aston Martin and first registered on the 16th March 1915.

Good man - dateless, that's the spirit.
Many of the dated 'personal' number plates, are rather akin to Skoda owners who insist on telling everyone, 'It was made in the same factory as Volkswagens'.
Made me remember an amusing conversation with a wannabe yuppie friend years ago who asked me if I liked his personal plate, when I commented that it looked just like any other run of the numbers issue (which it obviously was) and asked how it was 'personal' he trotted out the most abstract story about each letter, something like, the first one is the first letter of the town my grandad was born in, the second is my street name, the third digit is my brothers birthday etc, all very sad, and he was serious!!Many of the dated 'personal' number plates, are rather akin to Skoda owners who insist on telling everyone, 'It was made in the same factory as Volkswagens'.

I have my 0068 AML registration on retention currently whilst in between cars.
It would need to be registered to an Oct 2018 (68) reg car or newer.
Happy to accept reasonable offers.
Thanks,
D
Problem is you'd look like an agent that just missed the cut. It would need to be registered to an Oct 2018 (68) reg car or newer.

James's step brother maybe ( he was a window cleaner ).

A true classic, Steven.
Punch line at the very end.

Perhaps with a black plastic bolt, it could be 006.8
Round it up, and there you have it, 007.
But that would be ridiculous.
