Within the last 7 days, in what appears to be complete coincidence, there have been 3 separate articles on V12 Vantage Roadster and it's potential investment value/appeal as the last of a naturally aspirated manual car

Let's hope (as an owner) that is agreed with by the market at large - certainly prices & availability of manual V12 Vantage in general seem to indicate that is the case - I see no reason why V12V & V12VR won't follow a similar path to each other, with V12VR simply trading at a sizeable premium over it's coupe cousin as a result of it's sheer relative rarity

Incidentally mine has just passed it's 1st MOT with no problem, although I had a very thorough check done whilst it is still under warranty - the dreaded paint bubbling was found around the passenger side door lock, so it's been collected, dealt with and returned already - I have to say I found the experience excellent with the whole process taking just a few days and handled very professionally although of course, the paint bubbling shouldn't happen in the first place

Thanks for posting the links, I enjoyed reading them. I didn't realise the Roadster was so rare.

If the combination of a NA V12 engine plus rarity is the right formula, then what about the Virage as a keeper also?

I've no bias of course!

I hope they are right. Interesting that two of the articles focus on cars available for sale so is that the sellers driving their publication. They all have such low mileage compared to mine, we are up to £18k although starting to drop back now that we have the other one.

Five V12VR's for sale at the moment which a pretty high percentage of the U.K. cars which was somewhere between 38/40 cars. Wonder what they moved on to.

Jonby - mine has just passed it MOT and also had the dreaded paint bubbles appear on the passenger door. They were sorted out in September.

Re. the Pistonheads article.

I am sure that maroon car has featured in a topic on here many months ago.

If is is still for sale now, then it didn't find a buyer when featured, because the mileage appears unchanged.

My car has a fairly low mileage, but just 144 miles, that is ridiculous.

I hope Vantages don't start having this obsession with low mileage. That's one of the reasons I got rid of my Ferrari; I put 6000 miles on it in a year and the dealer thought I was insane!

Cars, surely, are for driving. Use them, or why have them?

Ouch. What stunning cars. I hope they depreciate loads so that I can get one in a couple of years time.

NA V12. Glorious sound. Aston Martin. Manual. Goes like stink. Beautiful, timeless and super cool.

Can't see why people buy them.
