Took the V8V for a good old blast around North Wales today and some dozy pheasant decided to have a wander in the road. It is now an ex pheasant. I have noticed a scuffing to the front left bumper but thankfully, I have protection film fitted. Question is, can it be healed in some way or is it a case of having that section removed and reapplied?

Regardless would highly recommend this film, has saved me an expensive bumper repair!

Expel can be healed to some degree with hot/warm air. The others just need that bit replacing.

The demo that Paintshield gave to me when I had mine done in Peterborough involved a sample painted surface covered in film and scratched with a wire brush. A hairdryer was then directed to the scratched area and as by magic the scratches disappeared. It was very impressive. Im led to believe warm water would do the trick too. I do think it depends on the make and technology of the film applied as some may not be "self healing" and also the level of damage but I guess applying gentle heat cant harm it any further?

It also depends on how much it is scuffed. Hot water might not heal it if its too bad.

of course, thats the first option. However, if he doesn't have self healing film, that won't be much good.
