HDD Sta Nav update

I know this must be covered elsewhere but I can't find it.

MY 2011 DBS which I presume has the HDD sat nav - are we locked into the dealers to get an update? The system is telling me it now needs an update and, after 4 years I guess it would be helpful.Does it have discs to update?

I believe a few on the forum have used the Volvo update discs. It will come up on a search.

The system actually told you it needed an update? My V12V is also 2011 and it hadn't told me before I updated it a couple of months ago.

2011 should be the Volvo HDD. Ie TMC on screen, updated centre console but not the haptic console or Garmin nav.

The current Volvo discs for Europe are RTI (MMM+) HDD EUROPE - 2015

Available from any Volvo dealer, or some do a delivery service also.
