Hi All,
I would go out of my way if an oppertunity came up for a tour of the Gaydon Factory (if you know what i mean). Needless to say I would be VERY interested as from a manufacturing background etc etc etc
I do know that some tours take place but have no idea how / when / cost?? to be included in one
Im unfortunatly not likely to be buying a new AM car soon so wonder if any one know who to talk to etc to get a tour?
Any comment welcome
Thanks

You can apply at the Factory to be added to a tour Dave but they are usually pretty well booked up and you may have a wait……..
Secondly a Dealer might like to take you a long as they have regular slots but you might need to be in the market to motivate them into taking you…….
Thirdly you could do the Charitable thing by bringing your car to Burghley in July as I see your not currently registered and make a bid for the 4 places I have had
donated by the factory for a private tour………….
Its just a thought as I see your in Bedfordshire and Burghley is just down the road………..

Can't believe that as a brand ambassador you would contemplate backing off in your promotion of the event Ed
Brand Ambassador………..

Any way my thought was to throttle back on the Burghley bulletin front for a while, as maybe not everyone wants me banging on about it all the time.
But them out of the blue comes a golden opportunity such as this thread which I hope the op returns too btw as he's been a bit quiet since posting…………..and I just can't help myself.
There's been plenty of other recent posts that have laid themselves open for a plug but with extreme self control and with my wife's use of a baseball bat I've refrained from.
This one this morning I must admit got through the net……

You know I only mean well Kev and the postings are really for those newbies that need convincing to join in as well, you know they'll be in for a good day out so its just about encouraging them along.
Hopefully the penny will drop as this could turn out to be a half descent event and one possibly not to be missed especially if your driving an Aston Martin and not a plastic Pig…….

I shall be watching the register in the coming weeks btw………….

I found it very easy to set up a tour when I visited England (from the U.S.) last October. I simply emailed Wendy Way (wendy.way@astonmartin.com;UK tel 01926644500) with my request and I heard back from her the next day. My wife, daughter, and I were met by Wendy and guided by Steve Waddington, Senior Product Specialist. There was no "group" - we were the only ones on the tour. It was definitely worthwhile...even my wife enjoyed it!
Good luck!
