V8 Vantage - Park Assist button light on & sound on Start up

Hi can anyone advise on the following please.
On my 2007 V8 Vantage, when I start up, there is an uninterrupted sound for about 3 seconds and the Park Assist Button has the light on. The light does not extinguish when you drive. You can press the button to turn the light on or off. I cannot seem to stop this sound and light coming on,on start up, and always have to push the button to turn the light off.
Has anyone else experienced this/know the answer please
