Hi All,

First time poster, so please go easy.

I am a very excited, brand new owner of a manual V8V SP10 - MY2015. Whilst it was in for a minor warranty issue, I was loaned a Jaguar XF (which, incidentally is the dullest car I have EVER driven). That said, the picture quality of the XF's reversing camera was so much better than in the Vantage. The image was crisper and brighter, and altogether much clearer. Would this be down to it simply being a better camera, or the screen resolution being much better in the Jag ?

P.S. I am aware that ownership of an Aston is not officially recognised until photos are uploaded. I'll resolve this later.

It could be a number of things. Post 2012/13 screens were much better than the Volvo systems with 800x480 pixels -- up from 480x234 pixels on the previous screen but there is also the composite/AV input which will limit resolution. So it could be the camera, signal processor or screen.
I doubt its the screen as in this small size higher pixel counts will have little effect on image quality.
