Hello all,my first post on this Aston forum. I find myself in the lucky position to purchase a early 4.3 Vantage. Having done some research on likely running costs and had good read of the definitive guide to Gaydon era Aston Martins there is one minor issue remaining, I have never been taken for a drive in the said car to ascertain how it might feel. I know this is a big ask but would any kind owner in or around the Tunbridge Wells area mind showing me around their pride and joy and ultimately take me for a short road test on passenger basis only of course, I will be more than happy to pay any fuel costs incurred.
Thank you for any consideration.
John

Hi,
I was in the same boat a couple of years ago and test drove mine and was instantly hooked!

My first impressions:
Its Low
Clutch pedal is heavy
Its loud
I want it!!
I bought it

Go test drive one somewhere, but dont buy the first one you see as I did, although mine is fine now i would not buy it again, I would wait for a better one to come along

Just my thoughts...

Hello and thanks for your input, can I assume by your comments you had some issues with your car at the time of purchase?

Go to your local aston main dealer and tell them you want to buy a car, drive the nuts off a couple of them. Simple.

That was plan A but my local Aston dealer only appear to have stock of 4.7 and 5.9 models these days.

I have just bought my 2009 Coupe from McGurks, great service and really focused on customer service. I collect the car next Saturday.

4.3's are good value too. Hold their values extraordinarily well. Wise man would get 2007MY onwards.
