Right, i'm mulling over ordering a factory Morning Frost V8S Coupe. Without evening trying i've been offered what amounts to just under 12% discount. However, I've also been told that if I take the AM finance (even for a couple of months before you all jump on me), then I'd also be entitled to a further £4800 contribution.

Now lets look at this, assuming a RRP of the car at around £108, then assuming the above info is correct re finance contribution, I could factory order the below spec and walk out around £90k.

V8S Manual
Morning Frost
Chancellor Red
Front Parking Sensors
Piano Black Trim
Glass Switches
Piano Black Faschia Trim
Reversing Camera
Premium Audio
Alarm Upgrade (still amazes me this isn’t standard)
Heated Seats
Memory Seats

I reckon there's more skin in that discount too, I think 15% is probably achievable, which if it was would bring in a nice spec V8S for high 80's.

Of course, the other option is to do nothing, keep topping up the coffers and then order a V12S early next year. I would think the Vantage discounts and incentives would be all guns blazing by then trying to keep orders coming in before the replacement.

Still....a nice dilemma to have I guess.

Also does anyone have and decent pics of a MF Vantage with Chancellor or Spicy red, can find any decent ones on Google.

Thanks, I did see that however I was hoping somebody on here might have some better pics, ideally of a coupe too. I'm keen to see how the interior works or whether it's "too much".

Are you part exing the SP10 or has that gone already? Does the discount include the part ex and are you going through Works?

Be interested to know what discount you get when deal agreed.

The V12R has a spicy red interior which is quite different from chancellor red - spicy red being far more in your face.

SP10 has gone so this would be a straight deal.

That discount wasn't through Works.......thought id see what's on offer before approaching them.

Seriously though, let's assume I can push it to 15 (might not be possible), then if that finance contribution is genuinely on the table, then it makes no sense to buy an ex demo or dealer car, might as well go for a factory order and get to go and see it being born.

Keep torturing myself between SS or Manual...........but I think manual will win......with a BR twin plate wink

Why the interest...........getting itchy feet with the DBS ?

£90k is do-able. I bought a stock car with similar spec plus ASM2 for similar money 2 years ago

You'll still lose 15k as you drive off the forecourt.

I appreciate that, however it might be the only time I'll ever actually order a factory car, so there's a genuine chance I'll keep it as it would be more or less a life milestone thing if that makes sense.

i really hope that with hthe new model line then AM will seriously cut back on the discounting as I think it harms the brand, and when that happens I couldn't buy new anyway.

If somebody knew of a MF V8S Coupe out there then I wouldn't need to even consider it smile

Can't see it happening. Their business model is/was predicated on a certain volume of cars that never really materialised and is unlikely to unless the new car is a big step up.

The financial meltdown in 2008 didn't help, but the discounting started before then. And once started, it's hard to rein in.

I think the new models need to......must be a big step up. If the tie up with AMG doesn't deliver this then to be fair I don't think anything ever will.

I have no doubt that we will still all be commenting on niggly build, paint and trim issues, but dare I say it these are still low production largely hand built cars, so you're never going to get the fit and finish of a run of the mill 1000 a week production jobby......and I accept that, and the day I don't I'll buy another 911, as love them or hate them, they are bloody brilliant pieces of machinery and very well built.......but just a little bit boring wink

It's over at Park Royal (Western Avenue) now. It's spicy red. Saw it last weekend, its not quite as "in your face" as it looks in the photos but still not quite my cup of tea

Seems quite expensive for the same money you can have a car that's 3 years younger and much less miles...mmm maybe manuals are the way to go!!

I own a V12V in Morning Frost with Chancellor Red interior - well Black and Chancellor Red two tone interior.

Pics here

Chancellor Red is a much easier going shade of red than Spicy Red is.

Hope that helps.
