Don't know if he's posted yet, but fellow forum member James had his house broken into last night and they stole his car. Here is what he posted on fb.

Sorry to hear that, Paddy.
I will, of course keep an eye out for the car but I bet the first thing they do is change the plates.

It's reinforced my thoughts about installing a tracker. Not only do you get your car back but the perps are collared also.

Sorry to repeat the question but which part of the Country are we talking about? I know it may be in a covered trailer somewhere but still helpful to know whereabouts to keep a lookout.

The one in the ditch happened before the car was stolen. I think James lives near Beaconsfield.

I thought they had to have a tracker installed in order to get insurance?

Not in my experience. Tracker or not made no difference to my quotes last year. One broker said it was sometime *more* if you had a tracker as it implied you perceived the risk to be higher!

bds !!!

Regarding a tracker.......no thanks. If some bds steals my car then I don't want it back after they've ragged the arse out of it and whatever else.

That's one of the reasons I bought GAP insurance......

Yep, last time I was insuring my cars I got quotes for them fitted and not fitted with a tracker, all of them were about £30 cheaper if no tracker was fitted.

mines an older '9 now and all my insurance came back cheaper with no tracker - couple that with no premium to pay to tracker, if I did go that route?!

Hi Molly /Rob how are you?

Hi Mike, we are really good thanks. Be good to catch up with you and Jules some time. Try and get yourself booked on one of these trips some time. So pleased with the GT3. Now have an RS which is awesome in its sheer ability. So nice not having continual breakdowns and failings!!

Never had any breakdowns or failings with either of my two Astons. This is in complete contrast to my bought brand new 911cs.

Unlike those that got a tad hot in the engine bay.
