wind noise around side mirror - DB9
Discussion
Hi all,
I currently drive a 2008 DB9 (MY 2009), which has the revised side mirrors compared to the 2005 model.
When driving around 140 km/h, I find the wind noise coming from the area of the side mirror (can only speak of driver -left side) quite loud, as compared to my previous DB9 (MY2007 with 'old style' mirrors).
Can anybody confirm that this is 'normal' or should I have a look at the rubber part between mirror and side window to look for any misalignment (have not noticed anything).
I tried opening and closing the window but does not make a difference so don't think it has to do with window allignment.
Thanks for any sugestions,
Frank

I had the same problem. I found a slight gap between the window and seal. SLacker also had the same problem and I got the idea from his thread.
Remove the door panel, then wind down the window until you see the torx bolts, undo and you can adjust the window. Careful with tightening though as you could crack the glass.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I found some information on this too, somewhere else :-)
As I am not very mechanically talented, will give the suggestion to garage next time I have to stop there.
Another thing I found while googling is that I should try and fold the mirrors while driving and see if noise stops, as it could also be linked to wind 'turbulence' around the mirror rather than a window gap. Will give this a try first.
Cheers,
Frank
