I am trying to change the pollen filters in my DB9 which I understand are located behind the glove box, I have read a couple of posts on other forums but they do not go into any great detail on what is required , bits to remove etc .

Any body who has fitted the filters point me in the right direction.

thanks in advance

Remove the glovebox surround and unclip the switch, lower the glovebox out of position. There is a cover clipped over the front of the filters which will slide towards you when the cover is removed.

Yup, RX8. Should be something like £8.

Thanks Sump smile Often change these on the other cars and always need 2 - do I need 2 for a one sided fit under the Rapide glove-box
?

I ordered two packs. Guess I only needed one as its 2 filters in a pack. Made by Bilstein. Great saving and nice to get to play with her bits on a weekend smile Thanks!

Absolutely! And with my dust magnet piano black I'll be changing them every 6 months at this rate wink

Hmmm> Went to do the job and the Rapide currently has one large pollen filter - not two side by side.

Offered up the two new ones but they are a bit rattly and there is a gap between the two in the centre, where they meet - midges could sail through!?

What's the score I wonder as I'm inclined to refit the current one piece one.

Aston Martin Bits also show it as 2 piece for the Rapide though http://astonmartinbits.com/models/7-Rapide/parts/2...

Maybe someone in the past just shoved any old filter in there as it looks like its just been crammed in?

Yes it does look a little squashed in! However I still feel it fits better than two with a gap in the middle. Wonder what it is:

To me that looks like Aston Martin didn't have OEM stock of the twin filters and have a back up supply of a solid filter equivalent to that twin filter number. Something like that.
