So we got a 3D printer at work. After hours I've been learning the basics. Thought I'd give the logo a shot.
1/4 inch tall and 7 wide.

Thinking of making a piece for the front of my car where the fake vents are so they can accommodate some LED running lights.

Took about 90 minutes. Had it on medium speed setting. Looking for some decent CAD software. Something to learn the ropes with. There are a few online. Used a program called Inkscape to convert the logo file to .svg then used another to extrude it to 3D.

There's a guy here making a full size DB4 with a 3D printer: http://www.stuff.co.nz/motoring/videos/8995908/Kiw... Not sure how far he's got since starting about three years ago. Spent £1,000 on plastic so far.

Not bad at all - see if you can replicate the full look of the optional carbon fibre wings - they are a cool £1395 a pair!

Looks like it's going nowhere, or if it is he's given up documenting it.
